About the Virtual Science Center^SM

Imagine a family exploring Chabot Space & Science Center’s exhibits from their home computer, or a group of students operating CSSC telescopes from their classroom. The Virtual Science CenterSM (VSC) brings CSSC’s resources to you, making a wealth of astronomy and space science information readily available to anyone with access to the Internet.

On-line Exhibits & Activities

Enjoy a virtual tour of select CSSC exhibits and special programs.  In-depth information on the natural, scientific, or technological content of each exhibit enriches the experience.

Virtual Observatory

Learn about CSSC's magnificent telescopes and view our collection of astrophotographs taken by these instruments.  Real-time images taken with some of these telescopes will soon be available.

Virtual Planetarium

Simulations and information aid your understanding of sky objects.  

Weather Station

Chabot's weather station provides live weather conditions from its rooftop vantage point.
