Telescope Viewing

Friday – Saturday evenings, weather permitting: 

  • 7:30pm - 10:30pm

There will be no telescope viewing on Friday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.

 

Special Closings & Sell-outs
  • Fri. August 29: Entire Center closing at 5pm and will re-open at 6pm for Lunar Lounge Express.

  • Tues. Sept. 2- Tues. Sept. 16: Chabot will be closed for maintenance. We will re-open on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008.

  • Sat. October 4: Spees Building closing at 2pm for a private event. Dellums Building, Observatory Complex and Telescopes will remain open. Please enter through the Observatory Complex entrance.

  • Sat. October 11: Observatory Complex and Telescopes closing at 3pm for a private event and will re-open at 8pm for public telescope viewing. Pleiades Courtyard closing at 4pm for a private event.

  • Sun. October 26: Astronomy Hall, Observatory Complex and Telescopes closing at 3pm for a private event. Reminder of Center to remain open.

  • Wed. October 29: Spees Building closing at 3pm for private event. Reminder of Center to remain open.

Access for Visitors with Disabilities:  
wheelchair access symbol Chabot Space & Science Center is wheelchair accessible. A limited number of wheelchairs are available on site. Designated parking spaces are located near the main entrance to the facility.
